In my spare time, I like to imagine and create my own stories. Here are just a couple.
In 3060, a volley of comets crashed into Earth, destroying 73% of the world's population and reshaping Earth as we know it. The comets brought a new element called Solzamite. An ever-shifting material that can take many forms or exist in every state simultaneously.
Soon after the arrival of Solzamite, humans discovered that it changes forms when touched and used by an individual. This occurrence is theorized to be the element interacting with one’s soul.
Solzamite has given humanity a paradigm of ways to control the natural world in ways never thought of before. Some can alter the physical properties of all matter, while others break down the chemical bonds within it.
In this world and many like it, there is magic. Where beings that aren’t divine nor demonic run amok. Some say it is humanity’s greatest blessing, others call it the world’s greatest undoing.
People have gained the ability to manipulate an essence similar to mana, but it isn't through a wand. Magic is controlled through a separate set of nerves and muscles called your Navservic system. Which is just like your regular nervous system, but can be trained, enhanced, improved, damaged, and deteriorated.
Some learn and study its effects for spiritual wisdom, but it’s mostly used so humans still have the power to claim Earth as their home.
Sure, this world has magic and a vast variety of it. However, with humanity’s dark triad, political corruption, organized crime, and oligarchies along with new and forgotten powers fight for control.
